I give myself space to grow and learn. I allow myself to be who I am without judgment. I am at peace with who I am as a person.

With exam season just around the corner, it’s vital we all take time to plan and reflect each day. Adopting a positive mindset and employing effective study methods requires daily commitment and constant adaptation.

My top tips for accelerated & mindful learning

  1. Create mental images of what you’re reading to improve comprehension & recall. Our visual memory is the most powerful of the memory types. Make images fun, creative, shocking, animated & use existing memories to improve retention
  2. Use spaced repetition software like Anki to test your knowledge and improve recall
  3. Develop a revision schedule that prioritises exam papers, essay plans & the Feynman technique of explaining what you’re learning to a friend or child.
  4. Incorporate the SQ3R method to improve reading speed & comprehension. SQ3R stands for survey, question, read, recite, and review (plenty of articles online)
  5. Use pomodoro technique to improve focus and avoid burnout
  6. Keep a daily journal where you plan 3–5 main tasks, celebrate your wins, identify your struggles and come up with solutions, reflect on your day.

Wishing everyone a productive and restful break — let’s make it happen!
