Our New Home

A poem I’ve written inspired one of my favourite films “Interstellar”:

In the vast expanse of space and time,

A journey beckons, a quest sublime.

Through wormholes and black holes we fly,

In search of a future that can’t be denied.

The stars above us twinkle bright,

Their light a guide through endless night.

We sail on through the cosmic sea,

Towards a world that’s yet to be.

The fabric of time and space we bend,

As we journey towards our journey’s end.

The mysteries of the universe that we seek,

As we explore each planet, bold and meek.

We brave the dangers that lie ahead,

Our courage and determination never dead.

Through love and loss, we journey on,

Towards a future that’s yet to dawn.

Our mission is to save mankind,

A noble cause, the ultimate find.

In the depths of space and time we roam,

Onward, ever onward, towards our new home.

For in the end, it’s not just about us,

But about a future, a destiny, a trust.

To save humanity from certain doom,

To bring them hope, to light up their room.

So let us journey forth, brave and bold,

Towards a destiny that’s yet to unfold.

For in the depths of space and time we find,

A future bright, a world sublime and one of a kind.
